Also, logbook of the barque "Catherine" of Melbourne on a passage from Chittagong to Mauritius, 27 October 1868-23 June 1871. Also, correspondence and press cuttings related to Eliza Forlonge, the Forlonge family, and Seven Creeks Estate, Vic. Also, documents of John Ballantyne Rollo, comprising indenture between the United Company of Merchants of England Trading to the East Indies and John Rollo, 13 January 1825; document empowering John Rollo to act as attorney for William Buntine, 4 October 1829; indenture between John Rollo and Robert Gladstone, 18 December 1818; and two letters, 11 April 1825 and 12 February 1889.

Currie was born in Scotland in 1830 and arrived in Melbourne in 1853. In 1862 he bought four ships, and in 1872 formed Archibald Currie & Co. and began regular trade with India. In 1883 Currie visited Britain, returning in 1885 on the Bucephalus with which he opened a direct steam service to India. Other steam ships were soon added to the line. He was founder of the Australian Lloyds and the Australian Mercantile Insurance Co. He gave valuable service to the Pilot Board and the Marine Board....
